Kansas City dentist Dr. Alberto Castaneda will attend the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s 26th Annual Scientific Session in Grapevine, Texas April 27 through May 1.
This year’s session focus is on reinvigorating continuing education in the dental field and features world-class educators, lectures and hands-on workshops.
The session includes course offerings in dental restorations, zirconia veneers, and using ceramics to attain natural-looking results, to name a few.
Besides providing an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and techniques in the cosmetic dentistry field, the session also includes the advanced accreditation workshop, which will take the Kansas City dental care provider another step closer to becoming an accredited cosmetic dentist.
Accreditation in the AACD is recognized as the standard for excellence in the cosmetic dentistry field, according to the AACD Web site. It was created in 1984 to create standards for the rapidly evolving cosmetic dentistry field.

Dr. Alberto Castaneda graduated from The University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1992 and in 1994, received a certificate in advanced education in general dentistry.
