Community Involvement

The Tony Gonzales Foundation focuses on assisting medically challenged children with emotional and educational support through the Shadow Buddies Foundation and by providing support for disadvantaged youth through The Boys and Girls Club.

The foundation's mission is to serve as a positive force in the lives of individuals in need, no matter their age, financial status, ethnic background, physical abilities or limitations.

Dr. Alberto Castaneda is a contributing member of this organization, supported in part by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation.

Dr. Castaneda's care and compassion for his patients extends to the entire community, and The Tony Gonzales Foundation is just one of the many ways in which Dr. Castaneda demonstrates his concern for those in need.

The Give Back A Smile ™ program is dedicated to providing free cosmetic dental care to domestic violence survivors through:

• Raising awareness of domestic violence
• Providing AACD volunteer members the opportunity to give back to the community
• Giving survivors hope for a better tomorrow

The Give Back A Smile ™ program was created to address the need for cosmetic restoration for domestic abuse survivors within our communities. Volunteer members agree to restore the broken and damaged teeth of domestic violence survivors, who know that bruises and scars fade but broken and missing teeth are there forever unless a caring AACD member steps in to fix them.

AACD's generous member dentists help to erase those painful memories by restoring the smiles of domestic abuse survivors at no cost and providing a second chance at a brand new life. Now that's something to smile about!

Dr. Castaneda generously donates his resources to assisting victims of domestic abuse through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and HopeHouse, and is proud to serve the needs of this group in the Shawnee, KS area.
