I just wanted to write about our experiences with Discover Dental and especially Dr. Castaneda. I have been a patient of his for quite a while. I have had many dental services at this office and have always appreciated what they do to help me.

Upon entering the office, I am promptly and cheerfully greeted by the great staff. I am always treated with respect and if I have any questions, anyone in the office can give me answer without making me feel silly for asking.

I have four children, all of whom are now patients of Dr. Alberto Castaneda’s. My three girls have all had good check-ups for the most part. However, my son is a different story.

Hunter is almost ten years old an about a year and half ago, Dr. Castaneda took some films at one check-up and stated that Hunter had rather large tonsils and it was worth checking into further. Truthfully, at the time, I was pretty skeptical. Why and how would our dentist know anything about that? He just takes care of or teeth, right? WRONG!! Dr. Alberto Castaneda is all about the concern and care of the whole patient, not just within the mouth. Well, to shorten the story, It took me (putting it off) and other physicians about 10 months to finally get the tonsils looked at and taken out. It has made big difference for my son. He breathes better, he hardly snores anymore, and he is no longer a “mouth breather”.

Another huge impact that Dr. Alberto Castaneda had on my son’s life was the diagnosis of acid reflux in Hunter, too. Hunter’s teeth have deep groves and Dr. Castaneda stated there is strong evidence to support the fact that these grooves could be attributed to acid reflux. I took Hunter to the ENT and the next week and discovered (thanks to our great dentist!) that his reflux was so bad, he had calluses on his vocal cords!. He was immediately put on medication and voice restriction for 6 weeks.

In closing, I just want to say how happy we are with Dr. Alberto Castaneda. His caring attitude, his concern for the comfort of his patients, and his integrity far exceed anything I would expect from a dentist. We look forward to many more healthy smiles from a great dentist and a caring friend. THANK YOU!

My fears and concerns are not questioned, the Team at Discover Dental Care goes out of their way to make me comfortable. Dr. Castaneda fitted me with an orthotic that has totally eliminated my jaw pain and headaches and as well as given me a new bite and jaw line that took 10 years off my appearance!!. There has never been a question or suggestion that I “try” a dental procedure without being numb- most other dentist’s have attempted to wean me off pain management during procedures. My comfort level with Dr. Alberto Castaneda and his team is determined by me!!!

Dr. Alberto Castaneda and his staff solved a gum problem that had been diagnosed as a chronic, ongoing condition. Previous dentists and hygienists have recommended mouthwashes, treatment for gum disease, and a topical medication used for lic implants, but my gums remained red and inflamed. After Dr. Castaneda’s use of the laser on my gums and his recommendation to use Closys as a mouth rinse, my gums are nice, healthy, pink color for the first time in over 10 years!

My name is Mary Gerling and when I say I am a good patient it really means I am a horrible patient! I, like everyone, hate physical pain. The idea of having dental work done on me was equal to someone suggesting we’re just going to drop acid in your eyes. I have to say that my experience at Discover Dental Care with Dr. Castaneda and his staff, was unlike any other dental experience.

I had to have a tooth extraction and implants. Recently I got my beautiful new implants! I was so proud of the professionalism of Dr. Castaneda and his staff, that I wanted to share my experience. My mouth is like a piece of art! The staff and Dr. Castaneda go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and pain-free through the entire process. It is very rare to have the dentist personally call and check on you after your visit but Dr. Castaneda does. He and his staff care!
